We filmed in both LA and NY in this lightly reminiscent film of "It's a Wonderful Life". A pleasant film overall, except when Ratner "The Rat" barked at me. Mostly for fun, but also in bewilderment as to why I worked with Nic Cage film to film when I don't resemble him. "It's a Hollywood thing," I kept telling him. We bantered constantly. He would make fun of me and I would ask him how many Yids it took to make a Christmas movie as the producers, writers, and director were all Jewish. It was old school gags on this set the entire time. Mostly fueled by Piven, the film's off camera comedic relief. We all had many laughs, even with the long shooting in days and nights.
