A low budget, Euro/US Co production, set in both Las Angeles and Las Vegas, but mainly filmed in the greater LA area with some studio work and a few Vegas days. This film was intense in dialogue and character for its time. A five week shoot in all and a gritty film look by the cinematographer. It was all crew hands on deck. Everyone helped out on this true independent art film. I did PA work and was a second boom operator, when not standing in for Nic Cage or doing driving shots. It felt like a high resolution student film with a top tier cast. A rewarding shoot, as I felt like I was in film school learning it all. And by the way, Cage won the academy award for best actor that year.
